About Classical Doors

Classical Doors has been producing high quality timber joinery in
Tauranga since the early 1960s.

Previously known as Haycock Mankelow (Tga) Ltd, it grew from a general joinery shop to a specialist door manufacturer renowned throughout New Zealand.  Over the years we have fulfilled export orders to various countries around the world including Japan, Australia, Russia, Hawaii and even the Maldives.  Our factory and showroom has been situated here in Greerton since the mid 1970s where we are conveniently located near major highways and shops.

Colin and Megan Harris,
have owned and operated Classical Doors since 1994

Colin manages the business and sales while Megan keeps the accounts and databases up to date.  “We purchased the business when our first child was 6 months old, moving to Tauranga from Auckland.  Now, with two more children, we have grown with the company, managing to keep a balance between work and our favourite pastime of sailing.  Although it’s always challenging, we still enjoy the personal contact with people who are building either residential or commercial, new or old.  We aim to get the job done efficiently while maintaining the high standards that our builders and architects have come to expect”.

Andrew Killick is our production manager and an excellent trade qualified joiner

His valuable assistance in both the factory and the office ensures the jobs get done efficiently whilst maintaining our high standards of workmanship using only the finest stain quality timbers.
